John Husbands was born to Parents James Husbands and An n ( nee Watson).Whilst he was living at home with his paren ts in census years 1861 and 1871 he was listed as John Husb ands He then married Jemima Stevenson in 1879 as John Husb ands Watson.and in the 1881 census he is John H.Watson an d 1891 and 1901 John Husbands.All his children were christe ned with Husbands as a 2nd forename. I do not know why he picked up the Watson surname and the n dropped it again. His daughter Nellie when married used H usbands and his son Sydney when died was known as Husbands. John Husbands is also connected to me through another branc h of my tree. John's father was the brother of my 3xG Grandad on my mater nal side.
